Our mission is to turn data into actionable insight and provide capabilities that populate the space between proven and possible. From detecting changes in fragile ecosystems to monitoring maritime environments, our near-real time data of Earth observation and Defence intelligence capabilities make our Geointelligence team a leader in geospatial imagery, ground stations, enterprise geospatial systems and defence programs.
As a member of the Quality team, you will work with our Data Managers to provide support services to our Pursuits, Projects, Programs, and Departments. Your contributions support projects and groups that are developing new capabilities, enhancing existing capabilities and delivering (predominantly software intensive) solutions to our customers.
The Role:
The Content Processing Support Administrator (CP) reports to the Director, Quality Assurance and performs as a member of the Configuration and Data Management (CADM) Team. The CP works with numerous projects and pursuits with front-end documentation support including formatting documents, compiling acronym lists and creating document templates. The role is responsible for formatting a variety of documents using Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Confluence and other document-editing software. The right candidate should be a self-motivated and highly organized person that is also a subject matter expert of MS Word, is a focused individual with very strong attention to detail who can troubleshoot document/content problem.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure content outputs conform to company and customer quality standards.
- Format documents, forms and other sources of content to reflect the level of professionalism expected of a world-class company. Examples of capabilities include:
- Apply and maintain styles and watermarks as appropriate.
- Create tables, indices and insert graphics into documents, as required.
- Manage cross-references, links and page numbering.
- Establish and maintain content templates.
- Ensure quality and accuracy and perform publishing-related quality checks.
- Update acronym listings and maintain the content of the Acronym Database (SharePoint).
- Set up and maintain Confluence spaces following MDA's standards.
- Establish and maintain Confluence page templates.
- Export Confluence page content to required formats including PDF, MS Word, HTML or XML.
- Convert document files from one file type to another.
- Perform other activities as required including:
- Back up other roles including Data Managers, Technical Writers and Configuration Management Coordinators on a task-by-task basis.
- Participate in the organization of information as required (e.g. addressing information archives).
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma; post-secondary courses considered an asset.
- Highly proficient (expert level) in the use of MS Word and the other applications of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel and PowerPoint) to achieve publishable content.
- Minimum of two years related experience in delivering professional content under tight timelines.
- Has strong attention to detail with an eye to identifying inconsistencies within defined expectations.
- Significant experience working within a team setting but comfortable working independently on assignments.
- Possesses a positive attitude, willing to jump in and tackle new challenges.
- Able to complete a skill testing Content Processing assignment within the specified timeline to the level determined acceptable.
Comments/Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

The compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $57-000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
