About the Role

Are you passionate about leading a technical team to build and test satellites, and looking for your next career move into a collaborative and supportive cross-functional environment? We have a great opportunity for you! As a Sr Program Manager in the AI&T group, you will be using your skills and expertise to lead a team in the assembly, integration, and test for a constellation of satellites in a new and up-and-coming business area! As the lead, you will be crucial in the planning, resource allocation, cost accounting, tracking & reporting, technical execution, and overall program performance for your area. You will be the driver in ensuring program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved and the success of Sierra Space's program. You’ll support the AI&T division with cooperative development of standard plans and processes, while simultaneously executing a program of record and reporting to program leadership. Furthermore, you’ll use your knowledge to drive facility layout and modernization, tooling, and resources to support the Sierra Space vision for high rate satellite production and test.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in STEM or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Proven track record of leading AIT teams in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience with satellite systems, subsystems, and components
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for satellite AIT.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically 14+ years of related experience in AI&T
  • Master's in Engineering or Management, or a related field
  • Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management
  • Understanding with application tools and data architectures
  • Ability to keep program management informed of function & process changes within project controls.
  • Ability to enhance program management expertise in the staff
  • Ability to establish new & further refining existing templates, tools, & guidelines for program documentation & execution
  • Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps

  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity

  • Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.


Working Conditions:

  • Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)

  • Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials

  • Rarely exposed to loud noises

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position. 
 
We also offer a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 8%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, and more.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

$159,430.15 - $219,216.46
