AST SpaceMobile and our global partners are building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network to be accessible by standard smartphones. Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet – on land, at sea and in flight.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a SAT-RAN Test Technician. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise in hands-on testing satellites and cellular equipment

Responsibilities:

Plan, execute, and oversee testing procedures for satellite and cellular equipment, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Perform customer and internal end to end satellite and cellular tests
Coordinate with vendors to procure necessary equipment and services, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing support and addressing inquiries throughout the testing process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing procedures into broader project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements:

Proven hands-on experience in testing satellite and cellular equipment, including familiarity with relevant testing methodologies and tools.
Strong vendor management skills, with the ability to effectively oversee vendor relationships.
Exceptional customer management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in hardware testing
Minimum 2 years’ experience with customer support
Knowledgeable of Satcom systems for connectivity and communications

Familiar with testing tools: Spectrum analyzer, Network Analyzer, signal generators
Experience with Linux and Windows terminals as well as cellular debugging tools (Putty, SSH, RDP, QxDM, XCAL)
Flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
