EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Network Infrastructure Intern in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to manage large service provider network
• Install, configure, maintain network services, equipment, and devices
• Documents network diagrams for future referenc
• Requires monitoring and troubleshooting of platform and OS based problems, network infrastructure and connectivity issues

Basic Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3.0 GPA or above
• 60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2025

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS-XR, Forti OS, API scripting, Wireshark
• Knowledgeable in configuration management tools such as Ansible and proven experience with PERL or Python to support developing scripts
• Good knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies is required
• Good customer service and communications skills (written and oral) are required
• Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies
• Must have the ability to effectively multi-task
• Knowledge of Cisco ACI/APIC, VMWare products is a plus

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $49,000.00 - $70,000.00
