What does this role look like?

As an Associate Manager, you will be responsible to provide the functional directorate, program management, and their customers’ effective project management, accurate and detailed plans and schedules and efficient production support. You will also be capable of furthering the department’s development, growth, and expertise.

We are looking for a best-in-class leader in electronics enclosure/chassis design for space applications.

You will provide leadership, functional management and technical direction to a team of approximately 10 engineers responsible for electronics packaging development including mechanical design, stress and thermal analysis, an electronics and mechanical CAD (drawing development and release).

Work with other cross functional teams and suppliers in a formative environment, as evidenced by excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to organize, motivate, and lead large groups of diverse personnel that includes customers, partners, and suppliers that are geographically dispersed.

• 8+ years professional experience
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Experience in Mechanical Design with strong understanding of electronics, structures, mechanics and materials.

•Problem Investigation resolution and root cause analysis experience.

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Experience leading a multi-disciplined Design Team.
• Familiarity with DFx Principles (Design for Affordability, Design for Manufacturability, etc.).
• History of accepting responsibility, being accountable, and strong performance.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Corrective Action Board experience leading to suggested Command Media updates.
• Integrated Product Team (IPT) experience.
• Ability to create an environment of continuous product and process improvement.
• Willing to take risks, learn new areas and operate outside the comfort zone.
• Experience creating cost and schedule projections or Basis of Estimates (BOE).
• Existing security clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $105,000 - $201,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $120,700 - $227,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
