Telespazio - Mission Management

Job Description:

Inside the Fucino Space Center, we are looking for resources to be involved in the Space Missions Mission Management area as per profile hereinafter described.

Mission Management

The candidate will be called to provide his activity in the Telespazio Fucino Space Center, with the possibility to be involved for short/medium timeframes in other’s Company or Customers operational/engineering centers, with the main goal to grant the proper technical and operational exploitation of systems composing the Space Mission Ground Segment (in the telecommunication, remote sensing and/or navigation technological context).

Responsibilities/ Duties /Tasks

• Supervision of the applicable operational products development and validation process;
• Preparation and management of E2E System and Operational Test and Validation phases;
• Preparation and management of E2E System Commissioning phase;
• Monitoring of System Functional, Operational and Performance status indicators and parameters;
• Monitoring of applicable System, Operational and Service KPIs/SLA;
• Supervision and Coordination of System level ILS&OPS teams and activities when in Routine phase;
• Generation of Service and Operational reports;
• Participation to Program, Operational and Engineering milestones, meetings, boards and reviews.

Qualification:

• STEM University degree.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• Experience of at least 2 years on:
  • Satellite Missions Operational Management and Coordination;
  • Satellite Missions Ground Operations preparation and execution phases;
  • Satellite Missions Ground Segment maintenance preparation and execution phases;
• Certified knowledge and work experience on:
  • Earth Observation and Telecommunication Ground Segment Systems and Architectures;
  • Remote Sensing data processing and exploitation;
  • Mission Planning systems and algorithms;
  • Satellite Data Acquisition Systems;
  • Network Systems and Architectures;
  • Remote Sensing and Telecommunications Satellites Payload and Platform characteristics and architectures;
  • Satellite Missions Ground Operations coordination and management;
  • Satellite Missions ILS processes supervision;
  • Satellite Missions overall service and Mission Management;
  • Virtualization technologies;
  • Cloud Computing;
  • Micro-services Architectures and related SW Design & Development processes.

Additional Skills & Experience:

• Knowledge of:
  • system engineering standards applicable for Space Missions Ground Segments development, operations engineering and operations execution phases;
  • Knowledge of LEO/MEO/GEO satellites missions ground segment architecture and operations management concepts;
  • English language [C1: Comprehension – Spoken – Written].
• Strengths in analysis, synthesis and presentation, coupled with very good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to apply these to the interactions within a team and between teams.
• Availability to work abroad for limited periods of time.
