Job description
As data engineer and algorithm developer you will be working with algorithms of our star trackers. This includes optmization of the algorithms to improve the accuracy of the results, robustness and speed and transfer them to different processing architectures. You will also work with the collection and processing of data in the DeDUST project. The goal of DeDUST is to track space debris using star trackers.
Tasks
Design, test and improve star tracker algorithms
Design, test and improve algorithms to detect and classify space debris and determine the orbit
Setup database to collect space debris data
Visualizations and presentation of the results
Support customers in parameter tuning on their products
Required skills
Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or (Computer) Sciences
Hands-on programming skills (Git/Documentation/testing methods) and able to write clear documented code.
Experience with Python and C code
Knowledge of efficient sorting, searching and filtering methods
Experience with storing, retrieving and processing data in scientific databases (SQL, Pandas, HDF5, Parquet)
Statistical modelling and error calculations
Good reporting skills
Experience with spatial computations (3D Vectors, Quaternions).
Fluent in written and spoken English
Junior or senior profiles can apply for the position
