Exotrail is looking for a Bid Manager (F/M) to join our Sales & Business Team. You will provide function leadership and bid management support to a team of 7 business development managers, contributing to capturing, winning and executing global business opportunities for Exotrail across 3 product lines:
- electric propulsion systems (spaceware™)
- simulation and operations software (spacestudio™, spacetower™ and spaceguard™), and
- In-Orbit Services (spacedrop™ and spacehost™).
With more than 30 customers worldwide in 20 countries, Exotrail is rapidly expanding its commercial footprint with commercial and institutional customers, in both the civilian and defense sectors. Effective Bid Management is critical to enable Exotrail to address additional market segments through increasingly complex end-to-end mobility solutions and services.
Reporting to the the Chief Commercial Officer, with strong autonomy to act as a true business partner across all Exotrail business lines, your main tasks will be:
- Execute the end-to-end bid process, from Go/No Go to the submission of persuasive, winning proposals, with a process improvement mindset.
- Lead strategic, technical, programmatic and financial discussions with partners and stakeholders to construct appealing proposals.
- Project manage successful submission of high volume of technically complex bids in English and French to international space agencies, public institutions and private companies around the world.
- Maintain and update proposal documentation based on product development & roadmaps.
- Produce commercially oriented bid copy in close collaboration with technical teams.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Sales Managers and the Business Intelligence team to identify market trends which may impact corporate strategy.
- Monitor and manage large institutional organization vendor platforms for bid opportunities, post-bid communications, and ensure company information on these platforms is up to date.
- Manage / support technical and commercial negotiations following bid submission up to contract signature.
Preferred Experience
• Master's Degree in engineering or similar evidence of space related technology expertise
• At least 8 years' experience in a similar Bid Management role
• Understanding of space mission & associated technologies
• Being fluent in English is mandatory
• Autonomous, rigorous and detailed oriented.
• Diplomatic, you are a good communicator and responsive, both internally and externally
• Curious, you are proactive in your work and aim to master the subjects which you are responsible for.
• You know how to adapt quickly and enjoy working in a fast-paced, ambitious environment
