We have a Principal Project Management position open to join our team onsite at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
What you'll get to do:
- Establishes project milestones and monitors adherence to processes and schedules, identifies project risks and manages risk mitigation or solutions.
- Ensures that contract requirements are met by coordinating project activities with participating functional organizations, vendors, or suppliers which are necessary to meet project requirements.
- Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to maintain productivity, quality, and customer goals and objectives.
- Performs roles and responsibilities related to Control Account Manager (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Acts as a customer contact for project activities, contribute to project status review sessions with internal management and customer to discuss cost, schedule, and performance.
- Participates in the development of contract proposals and contract modifications.
- Supports internal and customer meetings including, presentation material templates, collection, and content generation, meeting attendance for on-site integration, action item tracking, and post-meeting follow-up.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5+ years of experience; Master’s degree and minimum 3+ years of experience.
- Professional and/or military experience background in project management, program management, capture efforts, business management related functions.
- Working experience of Project Management principles and utilizing them professionally.
- Experience in using Microsoft Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Control Account Manager (CAM) principles and/or Earned Value Management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Previous experience with the TRIDENT II Launcher Subsystem and Support Equipment.
- Experience with DoD contracts and project management
