FACILITIES
Rocket Lab’s Facilities team is responsible for maintenance, operations, and improvements projects across our locations, making sure that the facilities our teams use every day are well looked after and operating as they should.
TEAM LEAD - FACILITIES
As a Team Lead – Facilities based at Rocket Lab’s site in Mahia, Gisborne, New Zealand you will have the opportunity to support overall accountability for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of LC1 complex and supporting infrastructure specifically Buildings and Grounds. To be successful in this role, you must have proven record of strong leadership capabilities, ability to create action plans which meets personal, team and company goals while maintaining health and safety knowledge to ensure compliance throughout the facility. You’ll be responsible for setting the tone, driving productivity, and ensuring deadlines and targets are consistently met.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
The role’s responsibilities
- Manage and foster strong stakeholder relationships with internal and external teams
- Manage, mentor and support staff within the facility team to support with high efficiency
- Coordinate cross-functional engagement to drive maintenance best practice, knowledge sharing, and improvements with teams.
- Maintain and continuously upskill knowledge in compliance across high-risk facilities
- Manage and report on quarterly and annual budgets for upcoming maintenance and projects.
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in a facilities management role
- Implementation and operation of CMMS system
- Ability to work autonomously and with initiative
- High business acumen – strong verbal and written skills
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
- Aeronautical or trades background will be highly valued
- Multifunction workshop management
