About Your Opportunity:

The Systems Administration Manager is responsible for leading the system administration operations in the UK and the EMEA region. Environments may include on premise and hosted cloud-based solutions. This is a role that encompasses both team management and a hands on approach to support, operations and project delivery.

Your Responsibilities: 

1. Contribute to the planning and development of the Systems Administration team and operations

2. Participate as directed by the EMEA IT Infrastructure Manager in rosters and other arrangements necessary for the delivery of 24/7 services, provide on-call service, and 3rd line support

3. Day to day line management of the system administrator team including; appraisal, resource planning, coaching, mentoring, and training team members

4. Responsible for all Systems Administration processes including but not limited to, vulnerability management, patch management, change management and asset management

5. Work with the EMEA Infrastructure Manager to monitor the progress of staff and assess staff member training needs

Your Experience

1. Evidenced track record of successfully managing and developing a systems administration team

2. Experience working within a team-oriented, collaborative, distributed environment

3. Previous experience managing and supporting IT solutions for medium-to-large enterprises

4. Experience working with cloud solutions, storage, networking, hypervisors, Citrix, and Windows domains

5. Certification and experiencing in M365, Azure, ITIL, Microsoft, Cloud, Storage, Virtual etc

You will join the Infrastructure team consisting of system, network, and cloud engineers. Prepare to join an open and honest team, built on strong collaboration. You will be at the forefront of the IT team, maintaining the EMEA IT environment and driving success for the systems administration team.

You will be highly proficient in day to day management of systems administrators as well as core IT systems and infrastructure, AWS/Azure, and security services. Strong working knowledge and management of infrastructure in virtual and physical form. Experience and a background in systems administration, team management, and team collaboration is essential.
