If you answered yes to the question, we invite you to seize the opportunity to make a significant impact as a Ground Segment IV&V Engineer. The main objective will be to provide technical support to Galileo operations and all Ground Segment related activities.

What you´ll do

  • Perform activities related to minor and major evolutions of the Ground Segment infrastructure.
  • Participate in Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) campaigns for the Galileo Ground Segment, focusing on software-based elements.
  • Upgrade the end-to-end integrated maintenance and troubleshooting environment  
  • Collaborate with operations and other maintenance teams for problem management, system restoration, vulnerability management, and handling security incidents.
  • Investigate and analyze software anomalies, identifying root causes and determining appropriate resolutions.
  • Define and maintain workarounds and troubleshooting procedures for effective anomaly resolution.
  • Participate in Anomaly Review Boards (ARB).
  • Test and deploy software maintenance releases, ensuring stability and performance of system upgrades.
  • Generate and manage maintenance release data packs.

What we are looking for

  • University degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline
  • Experience in software integration, verification and validation   
  • Proficiency in Linux environments and virtualization  
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in space missions ground system operations or maintenance
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of Galileo or other navigation ground segment would be a plus
