Job description
Duties
- Provide advice and guidance related to business management expertise that requires extensive interpretation for many different and unrelated program processes and methods.
- Maintain surveillance over business systems to ensure maximum probability of program success and resolve requirements within or outside NASA which affect the business aspects of the organization.
- Conduct detailed analysis of all business activities which includes evaluation of contractor performance, program scheduling, human resources, management information systems, configuration management, and logistics functions.
- Conduct a wide variety of comprehensive studies and detailed analyses of complex functions and processes related to long-range planning, identifying and proposing solutions to problem areas.
- Identify innovative or state-of-the-art business initiatives and incorporate into the day-to-day processes of the Offices.

Qualifications
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
- Providing advice and guidance related to various business management functions in two or more of the following areas: Budget Management/Oversight, Operational Efficiencies/Improvements, Partnerships & Agreements, or Customer Service out Outreach.
- Forecasting long-range resource needs for various programs and projects;
- Managing multiple program resources such as human resources, management information systems, configuration management systems, and logistics functions.
