Job description

Your Mission 

 As a working student for the Technical Team, your mission is to advance the structural design of our reusable launch vehicle. Drawing upon your academic expertise and innovative mindset, you will design a landing structure for the purpose of an ongoing development program. The role will also include performing structural analysis to validate your designs. Your collaborative and forward-thinking approach will be instrumental in achieving our objectives: revolutionizing space accessibility and advancing the frontiers of the space industry.  

More specifically, you will: 

  • Keep up with and report industry trends related to reusability 
  • Design a landing structure for the purpose of an ongoing development program  
  • Perform structural analysis to validate your design 

Who you are and what you have:  

  • Master or Bachelor study in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar 
  • Experience with CAD systems (preferably Solidworks) 
  • Knowledge of structural mechanics and experience with finite element modelling (preferably HyperMesh, OptiStruct and/or Ansys) 
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems 
  • Technical affinity with a pronounced understanding of rocketry  
  • Previous Working Student/Internship experience 
  • Strong organizational skills and an aptitude for task prioritization 
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills 
  • Fluent in German and English 

Nice to Have:

  • Participated actively in a rocketry student group or a construction/design project  
  • Experience in design of mechanical systems 
  • Experience in prototyping
