MDA is seeking a Sr Analyst - Financial Planning to join our dynamic Team located in Montreal.

Sr Analyst - Financial Planning will utilize their mastery of program management in order to execute Product Development Projects, or elements of a project, to meet the requirements of the Product Manager, internal clients, and the company. The immediate objectives of this role will be to standardize, as much as possible, the product variants between all customers. Close collaboration will be required with Product Managers, who establish the product requirements, and Customer Programs, who manage the end-customer need dates and schedules. A larger objective of this role is to support the company growth by undertaking tasks that may not be in direct relationship to the management of the project (for example, interaction with senior management and line management on operational issues identified during the execution of the product development project).
Role:
The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning assists in the preparation and consolidation of timely and accurate monthly forecasts, budgets and strategic plan for Space Missions - Montreal. Once these activities are completed, financial performance monitoring and evaluation are required.
Tasks:
- Prepares monthly cash flow forecast and Working Capital reports
- Prepares quarterly forecast for overhead and monthly reports to explain variances vs actuals
- Supports SR&ED filings, quarterly forecasts and audits
- Performs capital planning management and monthly CAPEX forecasting/monitoring
- Prepares yearly budget for Cash flow, OH, SR&ED and Capital Expenditures
- Prepares Annual Rate Package
- Supports Strategic plans
- Performs ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling as required
- Acts as delegate to Manager, Financial Planning in his absence
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 - 7 years related financial planning and analysis experience, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Must be able to analyse and understand the operations, as well as the key drivers of the business
- Requires knowledge of IFRS, cost management, financial planning and analysis models
- Functions well independently with minimal supervision
- Effective problem-solving capabilities
- Must demonstrate timeliness, detail and deadline-orientation
- Must be PC-literate, with a concentration on spreadsheets, modelling and graphic software
- CPA designation (CMA profile is an asset).
