About The Position 

We are seeking an engineer to provide cross functional support between our mission operations, ground stations, flight control, and communications/networking groups to aid real time operations for our upcoming IM2, IM3, and future missions. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in Mission Operations, Real-Time Flight Operations, Systems Engineering, Network Communications, RF Communications, or related disciplines.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide real-time on-console support to mission control team
  • Troubleshooting/anomaly resolution 
  • Assist in the development and execution of test plans for ground station hardware, cloud infrastructure, RF systems, mission control systems, etc.
  • Develop real time operations products, schedules, and technical documentation
  • Build procedures, timelines, and tools for Nova Control
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to integrate ground software and network automation 
  • Participate in integration and validation testing 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 1-5 years of experience in ground station developmenttesting, real-time mission operations or related disciplines
  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related professional experience 
  • Previous Aerospace, Defense, or Aviation industry background

Nice to have skills and experience: 

  • Telemetry, Tracking, and Command (TT&C)
  • Fundamental grasp of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, UDP, routing)
  • Experience conducting ground station testing and operations
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as network analyzers, oscilloscopes, modems, avionics
  • Experience conducting benchtop testing of RF, analog, and digital signals
  • Knowledge of ground station hardware, including HPAs, LNAs, circulators, diplexers, etc.
