Maxar is looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. We have amazing talent on our development team and need someone to help with ensuring the quality of the software being released.

Your Project: We build and maintain a software application used worldwide to collect, process, exploit, analyze, and visualize intelligence data in near real-time. We need a skilled Software QA Engineer to provide support to our test team, our trainers, and our customers. The team already has members skilled in development and deployment, but we need someone to help assure the quality of the software through software QA testing and support our customers with training.

What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):

  • Support the testing and evaluation of features and capabilities.

  • Create and execute test plans for software features.

  • Develop training materials and train users.

  • Provide feedback to software development staff regarding usability, workflows, and capabilities.

  • Provide onsite and online support to customers and users.

  • Attend government and industry meetings as required.

  • Provide Subject Matter Expert for various programs and communication capabilities to various technical and non-technical audiences (users and senior leaders).

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be US Citizen with a current/active TS/SCI.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

  • 5 years of experience in intelligence data collection, planning, and exploitation -or- 5 years of experience with Testing and Evaluation.

Preferred Skills:

  • 5 years of experience as a trainer and/or subject matter expert.

  • Working knowledge of the various components and missions within the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense.

  • Field exercise planning and execution.

  • Wireless communications protocols.

  • Python.

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically frequent, iterative releases that rely on user feedback to refine features over time.

  • Exposure to GIS technologies.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$87,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.
