Spacecraft Calibration, Navigation, And Engineering Software Development Intern

Software engineering at Maxar is comprised of various roles that contribute to the development, production, and test of software services that are part of the satellite ground system. All roles involve significant collaboration with interdisciplinary teams from multiple subsystems. This is a 2025 Summer Internship position with involvement in the design, integration, and test of ground software.

What You’ll Be Doing:        

• Assist Agile scrum team with software engineering tasks
• Support code development, automated test development, cyber security compliance, and utilization of tools used in software development and operational support
• Utilizing software technologies such as REST interfaces to python-based micro-services hosted in AWS

Minimum Requirements:  

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Ability to work 40 hours a week, On-Site in Westminster, CO (May - August)
• Current enrolled in Bachelors program as a Junior or Senior in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline
• Familiarity with Linux, Python, Cloud, or operating systems / distributions

Preferred Requirements:

• Debugging and trouble-shooting skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others for software engineering projects
• Ability to work into the fall - no less than 10 hours a week

The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $23.00 - $26.00 hourly
