Job Overview & Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer 4 at United Launch Alliance on the Software Tools Team, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software, and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conducts multi-disciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • Working directly with customers and stakeholders to determine user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
  • Prepares operating instructions designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensures software standards are met.
  • Mentoring junior software engineers.
  • Strategic road mapping.

Required Education

Bachelor

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 6 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or a related technical field from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with Python, Perl, JavaScript Languages
  • Familiarity with:
    • Cloud Environments and Services
    • Agile Software Development
    • Test Driven Development (TDD)
    • Automated test frameworks
  • Previous experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, AtlassianTools, and Process, Artifactory, ReactJSa, Linux, and familiarity with BDD is desired.

Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $136,714.00 - $213,580.00

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
