The Launch Missile Defense System is seeking a Principal Pricing Analyst to work onsite with our team in Chandler, AZ.

In this role, the selected candidate will:

  • Develop and help lead various proposal activities (Firm Proposals, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROMs), pricing exercises) by providing clear Pricing and Estimating direction from proposal kick-off and continued guidance throughout the process for successful proposal execution
  • Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments on accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications
  • Review and guide the functions in developing quality basis of estimates
  • Interact with other functional areas (Business Management, Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Logistics) to develop strategies in support of proposal requirements and deadlines
  • Prepare cost reports and presenting results to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators and customer representatives
  • Initiate process improvements to enhance productivity & efficiency within Pricing & Estimating 
  • Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process
  • Participate as an active member of the contract negotiating team
  • Effectively support customer fact-finding and DCAA/DCMA audits
  • Research and analyze historical data, develops cost and pricing models to support proposal efforts
  • Ensure proposals are timely, accurate and compliant in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications, FAR / DFARS requirements and Sector Estimating System and Procedures
  • Maintain the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, or program control, OR a Master's degree and 4+ years of experience (Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of cost and pricing techniques
  • Understanding of US Government procurement and contracting, Cost Accounting Standards, and FAR/DFARs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills: oral and written
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with past experience building complex spreadsheets including macro development
  • Prior experience in Cost Estimating/cost proposal preparation, negotiation support, and risk analysis
  • Experience with ProPricer or equivalent pricing tool
  • Experience in supporting negotiations
  • Prior experience in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Active DOD or ability/willingness to obtain a Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $76,600.00 - $115,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
