Maxar Space Systems is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Benefit Analyst to join our team.  This role is based remotely in the US.   This position is dedicated to administering and managing employee leave of absence programs. The Benefit Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to employees throughout the leave process.

Responsibilities 

  • Processing leaves of absence requests, maintain accurate leave records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws (FMLA, ADA, etc.). 
  • Providing guidance to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures. 
  • Notify employees of leave status and implications on pay and benefits. 
  • Tracking leave data, generating reports, and analyzing trends.  
  • Maintain data in HRIS system, Workday, with speed and accuracy. 
  • Coordinating with employees, managers, HR Business Partners regarding leave matters. 
  • Reconcile employee payroll deductions. 
  • Maintain communication throughout the leave period and facilitate return to work. 
  • Maintain detailed documentation of leave processes and decisions.  
  • Support other Total Rewards and/or People initiatives as needed. 

 Minimum Requirements 

  • Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
  • Minimum of 2 years of Leave of Absence and Benefits Administration experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.  Four additional years of experience may be substituted for the education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Workday experience 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate complicated details in a straightforward and concise manner, while maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism 
  • Deep expertise in Excel
  • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skill 
  • A critical eye for attention to detail

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$59,000.00 - $99,000.00 annually.
