Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst 2/3. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Strategic Deterrent System (SDS) Division. This position may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications listed below.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead the SDS Balance Sheet forecasting process with emphasis on accuracy and predictability;
  • Responsible for monthly forecast and status updates related to balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare the monthly billed unbilled report, treasury report, cash monthly deliverables and variance reports.
  • Help to ensure the accurate and timely completion of financial deliverables
  • Prepare and present the quarterly Balance Sheet for Sector.
  • Validate monthly account balances are accurate and trouble-shoot errors and course corrections.
  • Support Deloitte SOX and internal audits .
  • Maintain accurate financial SOX controls and artifacts.
  • Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies
  • Performing miscellaneous financial analysis as needed

Basic Qualifications

This position may be filled at a Financial Analyst level or Principal Financial Analyst level

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or similar fields with a bachelor’s degree; 1 year of experience with a master’s degree; or an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree; (Principal level requires 6 years with a Bachelor's or 3 years with a Master's )
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office with strong experience in Excel
  • US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance
  • Proficient in IBM Cognos Analytics, including Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX)
  • Proficient in SAP HANA or S4 accounting system
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel specifically using Macros, Pivot tables and V-Look ups
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $62,200.00 - $93,400.00Salary Range 2: $76,600.00 - $115,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
