Northrop Grumman Payload & Ground Space Systems Sector in Azusa, CA is seeking a Custodial Service Attendant on our 2nd shift and is a union bargaining unit represented position.

SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for the maintenance of labs, clean rooms and keeping the premises in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with company, contract, and industry standards. 

WORK PERFORMED

• Working at appropriate skill and certification level, wears attire designated to various classes of clean rooms utilizing specialized tools, solutions, and wipes.
• Includes work on ladders, scissor lift, cleaning parts, using tanks and solution, cleaning the cleaning equipment, etc.
• Works in areas where attention is required to chemicals, electronic equipment, laser, and environmental requirements. 
• Various housecleaning operations such as sweeping, mopping, and removing refuse from offices and rest rooms, cleans windows and dusts as necessary, disinfects, scrubs restrooms and showers; replenishes rest room sanitation items and other related supplies.
• May operate automatic cleaning equipment specifically to perform sweeping, vacuuming and mopping assignments.
• May be required to use a ladder, operate forklift and other vehicles. 
• Performs incidental work as required, in completion of assigned tasks.  
• Must be able to follow exacting written and verbal instructions. 
• Provides documentation and proper recording of Maintenance Department records including preventive maintenance.
• Observes company, OSHA and Safety regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Normally one (1) year experience in janitorial cleaning. 
• Requires the ability to perform physical work commensurate with above job description.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be computer literate to the extent required to perform job functions and proper recording and documentation of maintenance records.
• Must be able to obtain necessary ESD training and clean room training certification as required to perform assigned tasks.
• Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current & active DoD security clearance
