 Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Propulsion Division is currently looking for an Advanced Projects & Processes Manager 3 to work in our Promontory, UT location.

Job Duties:

  • Individual will manage team of engineers and scientists designing, developing and supporting next generation energetic based products and their associated manufacturing processes.

  • Facilitate activities directed towards new product development outside of traditional product lines.

  • Drive safety and quality into processes for products and processes involving energetic materials.

  • Management activities will include coordination and monitoring of employee’s workload, employee development, employee hiring, coordination with outside organizations, maintaining overhead budgets, and developing and executing department initiatives.

  • Work activities will also include individual technical efforts as required to meet budget and schedule constraints.

Experience Requirements: 

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years in energetic product design and/or manufacture experience.

  • Supervisory: Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of formal or informal supervisory/ management/ team management/ leadership experience.

  • Strong understanding of energetic and/or solid rocket motor system design, development, and manufacture.

  • Strong understanding and broad application of PS engineering systems (CM, drawings, MRB, SPC, tooling, facilities, etc.)

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Experience Preferred:

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years in energetic product design and/or manufacture experience.

  • Supervisory: Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of formal or informal supervisory/ management/ team management/ leadership experience.

  • Extensive understanding of energetic and/or solid rocket motor system design, development, and manufacture.

  • Extensive understanding and broad application of PS engineering systems (CM, drawings, MRB, SPC, tooling, facilities, etc.)

  • Experience in managing projects or programs using Propulsion Systems tools.

Education/Certifications

  • Education/Experience: Technical degree (Bachelors or higher) in chemistry, physics, chemical or mechanical engineering (9 years with B.S., 7 years with M.S. or 4 years’ experience with PhD)

Salary Range: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
