Boeing Poland is currently looking for an Experienced Structural Analysis Engineer to join the team located in Rzeszow, Poland.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis of aircraft structures (airframe: wing and fuselage). Structural analysis includes calculation of loads, static and fatigue analyses.
- Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations.
- Generate documentation (stress check notes) to report analysis results to support certification and qualification processes.
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Develop repairs for airframe elements.
- Work with regulatory framework (FAA) for warranting safety and regulatory compliance.
- Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment.
- Technical rigor and focus on excellence.
- Plans, performs and leads detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance).
- Develops new materials, methods, tools, and designs to support future programs.
- Works under minimal direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 2+ years work experience in structural analysis engineering.
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, free-body diagrams, load path, structural loads, joints and structural analysis methods.
- Strong knowledge of strength of materials (hand calculation, analytical methods) approach.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structure design philosophy.
- Experience in structural analysis of metallic airframe structures.
- Solid communicator, intermediate level or higher in both written and verbal English.
- Readiness to work with multi-functional team in a flexible schedule (weekends/holidays support, overtime, shifted work schedule) to meet the business needs.
- Readiness for business trips – up to 25% of working time.
- Existing rights to work in Poland.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in static and fatigue analysis.
- Knowledge of Boeing aircraft structures.
- Knowledge of finite element method approach.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 25 & 26).
