Join us as Mechanical Design Engineer (m/w/x) – Optomechanics/Precision Engineering and work with us on changing the future!

What awaits you at Mynaric

  • You develop and design complex assemblies for our optical communication terminals in a multidisciplinary team,
  • You work independently with a high level of responsibility,
  • Tolerancing and verification of the systems are part of your tasks,
  • You derive system and subsystem requirements and define interfaces and envelopes,
  • You prepare the technical documentation including manufacturing documents,
  • You perform simple strength and modal analysis for initial dimensioning of the parts,
  • You create and maintain the assembly models throughout their life cycle,
  • You excel in documenting your results and convincingly present them to the project team and in reviews. 

What you bring with you

  • University Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, optomechanics, or related field,
  • Expertise in the design of optomechanical systems, with an extensive knowledge of design principles and tolerance analysis,
  • Passion for finding technical solutions for high-precision applications in challenging environments,
  • Hands-on mentality and willingness to build and test your own designs,
  • Your design solutions reflect your knowledge of manufacturing processes and serial production,
  • Solid understanding of design calculations and GD&T,
  • Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software and PLM systems, ideally Siemens Teamcenter/NX,
  • Results-oriented, reliable, and pro-active individual, who works independently and responsibly,
  • Absolute team player with strong organizational, communication and documentation skills.
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English,
  • You enjoy working in an innovative, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
