Maxar has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Westminster, CO. The Sr HR Coordinator will report to the Director, Total Rewards and provide support to the Total Rewards team and the broader HR function. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and fostering a positive employee experience across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a passion for human resources, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute HR-related transactions in the HRIS system (Workday), including compensation tasks, tuition reimbursement, and legal name changes.
  • Provide Tier-1 support for employee inquiries, quickly triaging requests and resolving employee questions.
  • Provide support for the rewards and recognition tool, including troubleshooting user and file issues, interacting with the vendor, creating reports and dashboards, and managing campaigns 
  • Assist with administration of employee benefits programs, including billing reconciliation
  • Maintain employee records and perform employee record searches as requested via both digital and physical files.
  • Provide employment information to federal investigators per DOD contract requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations and manage employee labor law posting requirements through vendor and employee contacts.
  • Process unemployment claims promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Provide support for offboarding employees.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Requires 2 or more years of relevant Human Resources experience
  • Knowledge of HR functions and best practices
  • Hybrid work environment with 3 days in office

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Desire to develop a career in Human Resources
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday
  • Must have strong initiative and work well under tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$20.63 - $34.38 hourly.
