Embedded Software Test Engineer

We are looking for an Embedded Software Test Engineer in our In-Orbit Services team.

You will be responsible for developping, documenting, and executing the testing of the embedded software of our family of spacecrafts, according to the planning and to space industry standard processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, and design specifications
• Write the test strategy document
• Develop and maintain the spacecraft test framework
• Deliver the spacecraft test framework to the AIT Team
• Document for each requirement of technical and functional specifications a set of tests, test cases (inputs, outputs, test criteria) and test procedures
• Write and develop the test procedures
• Pass the test procedures, according to the planning and in cooperation with the Embedded Software Integrator
• Find defects and do a first analysis
• Write documentation and test reports

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a software tester or in a similar role
• Knowledge of software engineering and software standards
• Experience with git, Gitab
• Ability to read, write software in C, C++, Python
• Ability to think on system level
• Ability to work independantly
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication in English
• Attentionate to details and rigor
• Experience in the development of automatic test scripts

Considered a Plus

• Reading and understanding HW documentation
• Knowledge of measurement techniques
• Knowledge of ISO and/or ECSS standards
• Knowledge of communication protocols
