Description:Lockheed Martin’s Next Gen Geo (NGG) OPIR Mission Operations Support (NMOS) Team is an industry leader in infrared payload launch and satellite operations that maintains a strong, cohesive relationship with our launch and mission customers while developing a holistic understanding of the NGG Interim Operations (NIO) system and providing adaptive inter-organizational surge support. NMOS promotes the operational perspective across the NIO enterprise while being the center of operational training. The NMOS Training Branch provides qualified Satellite Crew Chiefs, Ground Control Operators, and Satellite Control Operators who conduct tests, launches and early-on orbit testing, and mission operations of the NGG Space Vehicles.
The NMOS Team is looking for a Trainer.

As a Trainer, you will:
• Initiate, develop, maintain conduct, and direct training
• Maintain instructor qualification for one or more operational crew positions
• Maintain comprehensive training scripts and ensure materials are developed and maintained
• Update initial qualification, recurring, and supplemental training materials
• Revise training curriculums and documentation
• Perform upgrade training to all new crew hires and fills
• Provide a Full Pre-Evaluation and Full Evaluation following training completion
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date bank of test questions
• Update operational training instructions and guides
• Maintain training records
• Ensure the NGG Task List and Training and Evaluation Performance Standards (TEPs) are accurately maintained and utilized
• Ensure training schedules are developed to meet training requirements
• Perform required crew shifts and an adequate number of proficiency shifts
• Participate in other activities and developing training products for these other activities, as assigned
• Promote the Training Branch in an NMOS work environment that is positive, diverse, and inclusive

Basic Qualifications:
• Current Final TS security clearance, with ability to achieve and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
• Strong understanding of satellite lifecycle/operations from launch to sustainment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
Desired Skills:
• Previous SBIRS/NGG training experience with Mission Management, Satellite Ground System, and TT&C
• Previous experience with Launch and Early Orbit Testing
• Well-organized, self-starter able to take direction and works well both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work with limited supervision while leading teams to include collaborating across the NGG enterprise
• Ability to navigate multiple competing priorities
• Ability to make recommendations on operational and engineering improvements
• Experience leading technical teams
• Willingness to take on any task regardless of complexity
• Ability to certify in multiple operational positions
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and virtually with customer and contractor teammates and management
• Previous operational and mission management certification is considered a plus
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $67,400 - $129,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
