SSSD has an opening for a Manager Pricing / Cost Estimating 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

In this role, the Manager Pricing / Cost Estimating 3 will manage and develop a team of analysts responsible for the development of cost products supporting the Strategic Space Systems Division.  This includes providing appropriate staff and oversight to the leadership of cost volumes, ROMs, BPEs, cost models, or other analysis required to support the objectives of the division. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the department staffing, resources, tools, and training as needed
  • Engage with Business Unit/Division leadership to develop estimating strategies needed to successfully capture new business
  • Understand and adhere to internal and external policies and procedures as it pertains to the role
  • Establish strategic relationships both internally with business unit leadership, and externally, with government counterparts
  • Maintain a database of cost and non-cost data

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in Cost Estimating OR; 8 years of stated experience with a Master’s Degree
  • Experience directly or indirectly in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to evaluate, integrate, and communicate cost issues and risks to senior and executive management
  • An active in-scope DoD Top Secret and SCI clearance
  • Experience Maintaining historical cost databases
  • Experience creating and maintaining strategic relationships with officials within the government.
  • Experience leading proposals using both BOEs and RCEs
  • Experience developing cost estimates using COTs models (SEER, TruPlanning) and Northrop Grumman historical data
  • Knowledge of our Strategic Space Systems portfolio past and current
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD 881

  • Ability to grasp math, science, and engineering concepts
  • Experience leading proposals using both BOEs and RCEs

Salary Range: $164,300.00 - $246,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
