Civil Systems Group (CSG) is seeking qualified individuals with experience supporting the Consortium for Space Mobility and ISAM Capabilities (COSMIC). COSMIC is a NASA sponsored national consortium managed by the Aerospace Corporation with the mission of making in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM) a routine part of space architectures and missions. In this opportunity you will be responsible for developing, organizing, and coordinating technical documentation tasks released from the Consortium Management Entity (The Aerospace Corporation) and the public membership of the consortium.

This position is in the Human Exploration and Space Flight (HESF) Division and requires excellent customer service skills in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Employee must be able to maintain a diplomatic approach while working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. They must have the ability to work professionally with all levels of management, particularly senior customer officials.

Work Model

This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA, Crystal City, VA, El Segundo, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, Cleveland OH, or Houston, TX, offering a hybrid work model that combines 3 regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist the integration team with:
    • Developing the requirements for community engagements such that they meet the needs of the technical work performed by COSMIC
    • Coordination across the logistics, IT tools and event planning teams
  • Conduct research and work with subject matter experts to gather technical information supporting the development COSMIC products.
  • Integrate and coordinate all external messaging to ensure technical accuracy and consistency
  • Manage and coordinate configuration control and release of COSMIC products and processes
  • Develop and implement strategies for building and maintaining a strong collaborative relationship between the Consortium Management Entity and the COSMIC membership
    • Advise and assist Focus Area leads with implementing community engagement and retention tactics.
    • Ensure Focus Area leads community engagement approach are consistent, as practicable, across all COSMIC focus areas.
  • Coordinate the ongoing development and maintenance of COSMIC’s website; collaborate with web developers to implement improvements
  • Author and manage the distribution of consortium content to COSMIC participants and stakeholders including newsletters, announcements, fact sheets, summaries of consortium milestones and progress, etc.
  • Manage COSMIC’s social media accounts; execute social media strategies across platforms to amplify COSMC’s engagement with targeted audiences
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to be Successful - Project Coordinator III

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a related discipline
  • At least 10 years of integration and logistical planning, coordination, and execution responsibility for a collaborative organization or 8+ of relevant experience with master’s degree
  • Ability to prepare material and supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information in a simple manner.
  • Document management and ability to use project management tools
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Tool Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills
  • Expertise crafting messaging for multiple audiences
  • Independent and self-motivated; proactive ability to learn on the job and multi-task
  • Willing to travel domestically approx. 10%
  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
