Vast is looking for an Workplace Experience Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations, to help us streamline daily operations to ensure efficiency and meet the demands of a rapidly growing company. The operations manager should be comfortable communicating with people throughout the organization, able to solve problems and improvise as needed, and adept at estimating and managing time for a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate is a natural coordinator who has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and a sharp eye for detail and customer service while always maintaining and encouraging the culture and values of the organization. Great “all hands on deck” positive attitude.

This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor day-to-day operations, report on performance, and recommend actionable improvements when necessary 
  •  Order supplies and manage inventory, coordinating with Sr. Operations Manager and other necessary teams to adhere to budget 
  •  Create procedures and protocols (such as checklists) and distribute to operations staff and others as necessary 
  •  Communicate and coordinate with employees (including executive operations team) and vendors through written or verbal forms 
  •  Hire, onboard and train new employees to ensure that they adhere to standard operating procedures 
  •  Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of company operations 
  •  Assesses employee performance and mentors staff 

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  Two or more years of experience in an operational or similar role
  •  Proficiency with Google Platform and other operation applications and platforms as needed

  •  Proven organizational skills, including time management 
  •  Project management experience 
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  •  Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision 
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  •  Detail oriented with strong multi-tasking skills 
  •  Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently 
  •  Ability to handle stressful situations, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor 
  •  Team player attitude 
  •  Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all 
  • Help improve the efficiency of operations, from hand-on experience, by improving procedures, policies, and processes 
  • Proactive and highly resourceful 
  •  Trustworthy and demonstrated ability to handle proprietary or classified information 

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel between company’s multiple locations on occasion
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones and/or company sponsored events 
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
Salary Range: California
$94,000$130,000 USD

Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package.
