Electronic Test Engineer offered on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract or contract basis (inside IR35) Please note this role will be based onsite at our offices in Alton, Hampshire. Some flexibility with home-working can be offered.

What will you be doing here?   

Reporting into a senior member of the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for; 

  • Testing of electronic assemblies to a prescribed process using common lab test equipment (Oscilloscope, DVM, PSU) 
  • Identifying and documenting failures/issues and providing support to electronics engineering to identify solutions
  • Using basic hardware and software tools to simplify/automate testing, e.g. USB-I2C or USB-UART adapters and command line scripts 
  • Design protype and implement a range of automated PCB test jigs to allow handover to production testing.
  • Produce relevant design documentation to enable the procurement and build of test equipment.

We are looking for the following skills:

  • Educated to at least degree - level or equivalent in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline
  • Experience using ECAD software- ideally Altium is beneficial.
  • Automation Software Experience would be desirable. C, Python, etc.
