Summary 
 
The Redwire Senior Vice President (SVP) in our Longmont, CO facility functions as a General Manager and site lead by overseeing day-to-day operations and providing a focal point for business performance, delivery, growth, and strategy.  The SVP will report directly to the Business Unit President and requires the candidate to work out of our Longmont, Colorado office. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Works with the BU President to generate and execute strategic plans, budgets, and other planning activities for a growing organization of roughly 100 staff members that deliver RF systems, mechanisms, and structures to the global Space market
  • Be a Solutions Leader – lead by example, determine best solutions, ensure they’re executed well, establish long-term plan, be customer focused, communicate, be accountable
  • Aligns business resources to achieve annual strategic, operating, and growth objectives
  • Sets standards of execution excellence and customer service while balancing agility, growth, quality, on-time delivery, right-sized process, and resources
  • Manages day-to-day operations through trends in key performance metrics, milestones, and reporting. Communicates department, program, and business performance to executive leadership through ad hoc and periodic presentations
  • Mitigate risk and ensure compliance with industry and legal regulations and best practices, and adherence to company processes and procedures 
  • Continual evaluation of program delivery success, instilling change as needed to meet deliverables while maintaining execution excellence
  • Supports Business Development team to assure proposals meet strategic, operating, and growth objectives
  • Partners with the Contracts team to assure orders meet strategic, operating, and growth objectives
  • Focal point for communication and direction with Longmont customers and employees
  • Mentor, motivate and inspire team
Ideal Experience  
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Advanced degree preferred 
  • At least fifteen years of experience which includes program management, manufacturing management,  financial management, sales support and direct customer interaction
  • Minimally 5 years of experience in the Space industry
  • Technical understanding of RF systems
  • Proven ability to manage programs or portfolios of programs in excess of $50M and organizations of ~100 employees. 
  • Prior experience managing a commercial business and an understanding of how to drive revenue and ensure profit, create budgets, determine resources needed, and deliver on-time.
  • Proficient with the financial tools required to forecast and achieve performance
  • Successful prior experience building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to improve business processes and practices to reduce costs and increase efficiency 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, ideally in a growth environment 
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required 
 
Desired Skills 
  • Business owner mindset with Business Development experience
  • Program management skills with an understanding of EVM
  • Operations background
  • Prior experience in an AS9100 environment
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Expertise with FAR/DFARS regulations
  • Satellite systems manufacturing familiarity
  • Security clearance is preferred

Salary Range
$195,000 - $235,000
 
How We Determine What We Pay (compensation philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth.  Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
