Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) in our Aurora, CO office.  

 

Position Overview:  

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:  

  • Owner of the CM Process, and baseline 

  • Learning and executing our processes to deliver our software and documentation to our customer by email and transferring files. 

  • Learning to manage the storage and processes for officially updating our documentation and data libraries. 

  • Learn to follow our CM/DM processes throughout project life cycles to maintain consistent configuration control, developing, operating, and maintaining change managed baselines. 

  • Interfacing well with program management and team members while keeping track of documents and action items. 

  • Supporting program documentation process by taking notes and action items. 

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Maintain – Process Documentation (Configuration Management Plan, Master SW List)

    Software Development libraries Responsibilities (maintenance artifacts in Nexus, Harbor) Versions

  • Maintain Access List

  • Release Management Responsibilities

    • Working Ops/Training on SW release updates

    • VDD

    • Versions nexus/harbor(docker containers)

  • CM as code: experience scripting CM tools like Gitlab and Gitlab-CI

  • Transfer of CM artifacts between environments

  • Audits of CM

  • Controlling baselines

  • Familiarity with CM of a microservice architecture

This requisition can either be filled as a Principal or Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst depending on the candidate's experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment. 

 Basic Qualifications:

  • Principal Configuration Analyst: 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 1 year of relevant experience with a PhD. Or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst: 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 8 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 5 years of relevant experience with a PhD. Or 14 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Active TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility, and willing to sit for a polygraph. 

  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Expertise in Agile and Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc) 

  • Experience with a myriad of CM tools and processes

Salary Range: $84,600.00 - $127,000.00Salary Range 2: $104,900.00 - $157,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
