On Earth, we are pioneering molecular and bio-farming, boosting production of nutrients, metabolites and bioactive compounds in plants while providing a sustainable and safe source of plant materials. Our customers are large beauty, perfume, natural ingredients, food&beverage and neutraceuticals companies. To advance space exploration, we work with space agencies and private companies and provide them bio-farming units to grow efficiently food for astronaut and/or conduct research on impact of microgravity on plant molecular composition.
ABOUT THE ROLEΒ
We're looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic supply chain team! As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in securing the materials we need to build the future, ensuring on-time delivery, and achieving the best possible value for our investment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source and qualify potential suppliers for a variety of materials and components.
- Negotiate contracts that secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to goods receipt.
- Oversee supplier performance and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a science discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of successful negotiations and cost savings.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Fluency in French and English is required.
- Experience in the controlled environment agriculture or aerospace industry.
- Familiarity or experience working with international logistics
