Echostar has an exciting opportunity for a Security Specialist. This position will support the physical security of our Manufacturing facility and be located onsite in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with providing direction and oversight to all physical security and business continuity programs.
• Be proficient in the operation of all security programs which includes, CCTV (ExacqVision), Access Control (C-cure 9000), Visitor Management System (Envoy) Emergency Notification System (Alert Media).
• Providing technical advice necessary for the implementation of Procedures, Guidelines, Post Orders and Training.
• Provide support/direction to the contract guard service, administering, coordinating, and evaluating security programs that support the strategy, policies, and standards established for the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets.
• Respond to all medical or emergency incidents and conduct investigations to ensure an appropriate response and incident reports are completed properly and forwarded to upper management

Basic Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience working in corporate security
• 5+ years of experience using security programs
• 5+ years of experience in all of the following: medical situations, investigation, incident reporting, and risk management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
