Our facility in Littleton, CO seeks a Business Development Analyst V to support our Commercial Civil Space Business Development team. In this role you will…

• Maximize Lockheed Martin's role on current and next generation civil and commercial space programs and forge critical relationships with customers, industry teammates, and academia

• Develop campaigns to secure Infrastructure CRAD, Development, and Production contracts

• Identify & establish key industry and government partnerships to maximize new business growth

• Lead new business capture, including providing necessary funding and managing the capture budgets; S&BD partners closely with P&L, including significant P&L staffing and support/coordination

• Collaborate with Infrastructure team to create technology roadmaps & related Internal Research & Development (IR&D) projects to create discriminators necessary to develop and win new business

• Shape & win new business through a balanced focus on the customer’s mission, best value, and the competitive environment

• Partner with cross-functional teams to strategically align technologies and execution to enable long term technology maturation


Our employees working in this level of position typically have 15 - 20 years of experience.


Although this position does support some teleworking, the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton, CO and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.




Preference for this requisition will be given to Lockheed Martin Space employees.

Basic Qualifications:
• 9-12 years of industry experience that includes developing business strategies focused on cislunar knowledge and customer values

• 3-4 years of experience leading teams as team lead or project lead

• Understanding of commercial and civil missions, technologies, and customers

• Experience in proposal preparation and negotiation; experience working with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements, Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Deliverables, Intellectual Property, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs) and/or contracting activities

• Experience executing pursuit, capture and proposal activities
Desired Skills:
• Prefer 12+ years of industry experience that includes developing business strategies focused on cislunar knowledge and customer values

• Prefer 4+ years of experience leading teams as team lead or project lead
• Understanding of nuclear power and propulsion technologies

• Understanding of in-situ resource utilization technologies

• Experience and relationships with government customers

• Experience collaborating closely with organizations across LM Space and the broader Lockheed Martin Corporation to ensure coordination of new business activities and maximum leverage of LMC resources to grow the business.

• Leadership and engagement skills to motivate and effectively direct a cross-functional team

• Very strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $236,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
