Job description

Astroscale UK is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Systems Administrator – SAP. This newly created role will be essential in supporting our organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our SAP system across the business. You’ll be developing yourself as a subject-matter-expert (SME) to the wider business as we implement and transition to business as usual with SAP, and support across the UK entity with training and support to different teams as needed.



Responsibilities 

  • Supporting the input and maintenance of data into SAP
  • Support and approve changes as part of the Master data change governance process in SAP
  • Managing resolutions of business and technical queries
  • Responsible, reviewing and maintaining process and systems training material.
  • Subject Matter Expert for SAP
  • Support improvement projects and system changes, system upgrades and data migrations resulting in working efficiencies.
  • Support the UK business cross functionally (finance, projects, inventory, procurement, and others) to use SAP Business by Design, configuring access and [where the project stuff is]
  • Configuring access and permissions for users, in line with individual and business changes.



Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Finance systems, specifically SAP ERP.
  • Resourceful, self-managed, and goal driven with the ability to work effectively in teams and to fixed deadlines to meet business requirements.
  • Inter-personal skills with an ability to quickly establish effective working relationships across geographical and cultural borders.
  • Organised with a good attention to detail.
  • Experience with/an understanding of Finance IT systems, specifically SAP
  • Strong experience within Microsoft Excel, and broader packages



Desirable skills


  • Experience in Power BI and other Finance systems
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
