Job description

Astroscale UK & Europe are seeking a CADM administrator to define and implement configuration management activities on spacecraft projects throughout the product lifecycle; from design and development, assembly integration and test, to the deliverable hardware. Working on multiple projects, you will be responsible for managing the controls needed to implement configuration change, as well as being responsible for the control of document release and revision, ensuring consistency and accuracy, in accordance with internal and external requirements.


Responsibilities 

 

  • Maintaining data within the Astroscale SharePoint environment 
  • Perform CADM planning for new and existing projects 
  • Own the CADM process and ensure its deployment and compliance throughout the business 
  • Establish and maintain the configuration baselines of projects (as designed/as built) 
  • Responsible for ensuring correct process flow for design release 
  • Ensure traceability of design change and implementation of revisions. 
  • Support the management of BoMs within Astroscale projects 
  • Working with various teams to ensure data integrity in different areas of the business 
  • Train staff in correct CADM processes and monitor compliance to process 
  • Support Export control officer with document management 

 

Essential Skills 

 

  • Understand CADM processes and methods 
  • Experience of configuration management 
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise  
  • Process driven, analytical and have a focus on detail 
  • Able to establish and work to deadlines 
  • Understand the importance of data integrity 

 

Desirable skills 

 

  • Experience with configuration management in either defence or aero organisations 
  • Experience in working to standards such as ECSS-M-ST-40, DEF Stan 05-57, EIA-649 
  • Experience of Solidworks PDM 
  • Experience using GitLab 
  • Experience using, maintaining, improving and customising SharePoint 
  • SC Clearance desirable
