Title: Test Technician II

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $25.00-$43.50 per hour

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Position Purpose:  The Test Technician II has the responsibility for supporting test engineering tasks associated with the development, qualification, and acceptance testing efforts of spacecraft systems. This technician would be working in a team environment, sometimes with remote team members, engaging in test and support of flight and non-flight spacecraft electronics. The Test Technician will be expected to execute tests using aerospace standard approaches.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Assist test engineers with integration and test of spacecraft systems and/or ground support equipment
  • Execute test procedures
  • Use test and measurement equipment to test and troubleshoot hardware
  • Document non-conformances and/or test errors as they occur during execution of tests
  • Maintain required test engineering logs and records
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Perform other duties as necessary


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience performing board and/or subsystem level handling and testing of electronics and hardware
  • Experience with executing manual and/or automated test procedures
  • Ability to work independently with some direction and to be a self-starter
  • Experience with spacecraft level system integration and test
  • Confidence in a lab environment
  • Experience with test instrumentation/test rack design
  • 2-7 years of experience in Aerospace or Electronics Test or related field
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
