MANAGER, RECRUITING (SG&A)

Hiring great people is critical to the continued success of SpaceX; it’s the most important thing we do. Recruiting Managers will be engaged at the front-line of this effort -- finding new ways of identifying and attracting top candidates, driving efficiencies and best-practices within our hiring processes, assisting in closing critical hires, all while constantly re-aligning the recruiting team to meet the needs of a highly-dynamic organization. They will organize, manage, and drive the productivity of the recruiting teams and support the individual success of each recruiter. They will create and execute recruiting and branding strategies. They will coordinate closely with the executive and finance teams to review headcount targets.  They will actively take on the recruiting ownership to fill key positions. They will ensure SpaceX continues to attract and hire the best candidates in the market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a team of technical recruiters, coordinators, and sourcers
  • Fully accountable for delivering talent that client groups require to meet their commitments to company programs and initiatives
  • Own and manage client relationships and interactions from individual contributors up to VPs
  • Partner with client groups to develop hiring strategy and plans, and own execution of plan
  • Partner with clients to offer guidance on to how best meet talent needs for the group
  • Provide closed-loop feedback to client groups regarding their hiring practices
  • Influence and shape client behavior to help them achieve their goals
  • Provide feedback and create a closed-loop feedback system with team members
  • Hold team members accountable for deliverables
  • Provide coverage and backing up team members when appropriate
  • Provide guidance and drive priorities
  • Recruit as an individual contributor for a limited number of key roles

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of recruiting experience or 10+ years of recruiting experience in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years of experience leading a recruiting team

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully recruiting top talent
  • Success recruiting both engineering and non-technical roles
  • Experience leading a team to meet late breaking high-volume need requests in a production environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and critical searches, simultaneously
  • Experience implementing successful sourcing strategies
  • Proficient in leading and influencing hiring managers in the process of talent acquisition
  • An expert level of knowledge in all full lifecycle recruiting components including, but not limited to: sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessment, compliance, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management, and due diligence

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:          

Manager, Recruiting: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00/per year             

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.

This position is also eligible for a recruiting bonus plan.
