Job Summary  

The Aerospace Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, Talent Acquisition Staff 3 to join our team of diverse professionals. The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for working with the People Acquisition team to align and meet hiring goals by applying creative and innovative sourcing strategies to identify the best talent to join The Aerospace Corporation. We are a mighty and progressive team, and we are looking for an individual that is a go-getter and excited about driving the sourcing process. The successful candidate will have strong direct sourcing skills, experience in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated experience, qualifying, and interviewing candidates for high demand and niche roles. To excel in this role, one must be able to exhibit a wide degree of creativity in capturing highly sought-after talent.

Work Model 

  • Hybrid: This position will be a hybrid work model and offer partially remote with some onsite work required in Chantilly or Crystal City as the business needs allow. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop sourcing models and plans to generate technical talent pools; create and execute robust search strategies that will attract the best and brightest talent
  • Recruit passive candidates and gauge the fit and motivation rather than simply sell a role
  • Build and maintain network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management
  • They will excel in an innovative, work hard, have fun, and get the job done environment
  • Capture and maintain candidate status in our ATS system
  • Understanding ongoing hiring needs of their business and establishing the right sourcing mix to generate a strong pool of talent for open roles
  • Reaching out to target talent via social networks
  • Support recruiting events

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for Staff III:

  • At least 6 years of progressive recruiting experience with a focus on candidate closing and engagement
  • At least 6 years of staffing or agency recruiting experience
  • Exceptional knowledge and use of various sourcing tools & methodologies
  • Ability to display and respond with a sense of urgency to sourcing request
  • Experience with sourcing and building talent pipelines, and developing new channels of sourcing for our various positions
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the external recruiting landscape 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ATS and CRM systems, displaying fast learning and agility
  • Ability to communicate and be persuasive and interpret our value proposition.
  • Ability to successfully source and attract cleared and non-cleared passive external talent
  • Experience leveraging sourcing data in weekly conversations with hiring managers and People Acquisition leadership
  • Willing to travel occasionally to work location if required
