Job Overview & Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements manufacturing processes, procedures, and planning for multiple build items in support of other assembly areas in the factory.
  • Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for hardware in work center.
  • Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action or problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
  • This engineering function works with design engineers to ensure all products meet design requirements and can be manufactured efficiently.

  • Ensures processes and procedures comply with regulations.
  • Work with quality engineering and production operations to initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Performs troubleshooting to resolve manufacturing issues and keep production on schedule. Work closely with technicians during the build process and supports process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple functions within the organization to perform job duties.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of reading Blueprints.
  • Experience and understanding of Geometrical, Dimensioning, and Tolerancing.
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to translate Engineering Drawings into step-by-step work instructions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Demonstrated oral and written skills.
  • Attention to details and good documentation of observations/findings.
  • This position is 3x12 weekend (Friday-Sunday) 12-hour day shift. It will require working extended hours and /or weekends along with off shifts, as necessary to support production delivery activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to manufacturing techniques and working with an hourly workforce.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting problems and arriving at a solution in a timely manner.
  • Experience working with cross-functional work groups.
  • Experience with working and/or presenting to external customer.
  • Experience in Production Builds of aerospace hardware.
  • Training or experience in an ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning).
