Job Overview & Responsibilities

This position is for a mid-level MBE Systems Architect Engineer with responsibilities to include the following:

Developing, testing and deploying capability in all tools in a domain (design, manufacturing, analysis, etc.)
Evolving current processes to rely on automated design checks and error resolution
Connecting digital design data to CNC machines, 3D Printers, ERP/MRP and MES applications
Project management and execution of existing and future projects
Support and improve deployed Visual Work Instructions capability at Production and Launch sites
Look forward, launch new functionality, future tools and systems and implement industry best practices
Mechanical CAD tool consolidation efforts
Work with the Lead Systems Architect for maintaining and improving deployed tools
Work with a team of peers - MBE process owner, MBE skills owner and MBE Architect to divide areas of responsibility and authority
Influence and contribute to the MBE Team’s goal of connecting digital design data across ULA’s enterprise (design, build, launch) and move the company toward Industry 4.0
Troubleshooting and resolving issues with current CAD design and applications

Required Education

Bachelor

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 4 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university
Minimum 3 years of experience with CAD
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools (Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.)
Ability to identify problems and work resolutions.
Project management experience.
Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written; including presentations).
Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience in Aerospace and Defense
Experience with new hardware product development
Experience with Siemens PLM (Teamcenter)
Experience with NX CAD
Experience authoring or using 3D Model Based Definition
Experience in a manufacturing/operations environment

Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $98,339.00 - $153,653.00

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
