We are looking for a Technical Project Manager at our Massy site, to support our rapid growth.

Attached to the Technology Team, a Technical Project Manager is responsible for guiding the technical development of a product by overseeing a team of technical designers.

It’s a role that senior engineers are often given as part of a larger project and involves liaising with the project manager and other individuals who may be in charge of similar teams.

As well as having the necessary technical skills and knowledge to plan and direct the development of a project, a Technical Project Manager will also require having good interpersonal skills and a knack for leadership. A Technical Project Manager will be in charge of instructing all members of the team and solving any issues that arise within this group and advising on the whole project’s development and reporting any issues or ideas to the Project Manager.

A Technical Project Manager will be in charge of managing the technical development side of a project and may work alongside the team to write and contribute to the whole progression. They will also be responsible for maintaining a positive working atmosphere, ensuring that all team members are working efficiently and guiding more junior members in the team who might not have as much experience or technical know-how.


The specifications of the role will vary depending on the project but there are many general tasks that a Technical Project Manager tends to be responsible for:

📌 Sourcing and organise the technical staff.

📌 Organising the team by delegating tasks and implementing a project timeline.

📌 Working with members of the team to complete technical tasks.

📌 Supervising work and solving technical issues.

📌 Mapping progress goals and ensuring they are met.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills 💁‍♀️

📌 Previous experience in managing technical projects.

📌 Previous hands-on experience one of the following disciplines: mechanical, thermal, electronics, fluidics or plasma.

📌 Experience in managing internal development projects is considered a plus.

📌 Experience in electric propulsion or space hardware is considered an asset.

📌 Rigorous and structured.

📌 Strong planification skills.

📌 High degree of autonomy.

📌 Strong communication skills.
