Job description

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refueled in orbit, and which carries cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented Warehouse Operator (Lagerist) to help us in our mission by ensuring the seamless flow of materials and equipment essential for the development and deployment of our space technologies.

Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Warehouse Operator (Lagerist), your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:
  • Managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of components for Nyx.
  • Coordinating closely with production teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Implementing and maintaining inventory management systems (we use odoo as our ERP) to track supplies and avoid shortages or excess.
  • Overseeing all activities in our ERP Inventory system (data cleanliness, data upload (delivery notes), data input)
  • Operating and maintaining warehouse machinery and equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Enforcing and enhancing safety and quality protocols to meet the high standards required in space technology manufacturing.
  • Assisting in setting up and refining logistics processes to support the scalability of capsule production.
  • Managing accounts / contracts with external logistics service providers, such as transportation (DHL, UPS) vendors and customs brokers 
  • Supporting 3D printing division in their Logistics activities

What we would love to see from you

In the role of Warehouse Operator, ideally, you will have the following:
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in a high-tech or innovative industry setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Competence in using modern warehouse management software and systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards specific to technology and manufacturing industries.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and technologies.
  • A team player mindset with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • A valid forklift license and experience with other warehouse machinery is a plus.
