Job description

Here at The Exploration Company we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refueled in orbit, and which carries cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented Digital Systems Operations Manager (ERP and PLM architect) to help us in our mission by leading the implementation and further improvement of our ERP and PLM system as well as the connection between our business tools.

Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Digital Systems Operations Manager (ERP and PLM architect), your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning engineering, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, accounting, finance and more to understand the business needs, engineer solutions, and ensure our systems are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
Lead the improvement of our ERP system, Odoo, as a product owner:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for the ERP system
- Lead the ERP improvement/implementation projects, overseeing all phases from planning and design to testing, deployment, and ongoing support
- Understand, identify and enroll business processes and make sure that processes are implemented and managed (e.g. procurement and inventory flows; setup of manufacturing and Engineering Change Orders in Odoo)
- Act as the point of contact for any immediate or blocking topics
- Preferably, apply simple programming changes on your own
Lead the implementation of our PLM system as a product owner:
- Configure and customize the PLM software to meet specific business process requirements (e.g. MBOM management & release to ERP, change & CAD management)
- Ensure efficient integration with existing systems and processes
- Act as a subject matter expert for the PLM software, providing training and support to internal teams as needed
Support the roll-out of our Management Execution System and lead its connection to our ERP system
Support the Quality department in definition and implementation of the digital processes
Define and coordinate the connection of the software tool landscape
- Defining the need for automation and data links
- Support the development of the configuration management setup
- Ensure efficient integration of both ERP and PLM systems with existing processes and systems
Exploitation and analysis of data
- Implementing and setting up BI dashboards and analytics, e.g. metabase, for automated reporting and KPIs
Support the COO on upcoming projects

What we would love to see from you

In the role of Digital Systems Operations Manager (ERP and PLM architect) ideally, you will have the following:

Qualifications / Skills

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Business Information System, Computer Science, Engineering or similar
Ability to prioritize in view of the product roadmap
Understanding of business processes and business tools
Knowledge in Python coding and automation deployments
Experience with ERPs is a must, and in particular odoo is a plus
Experience with major PLM systems
