Job description

Turion's mission is to build a sustainable future in space. Turion launched its first DROID satellite in June of 2023 and will launch its next in October of 2024. As a Machine Learning Integration Intern, you will help rapidly prototype, mature, and monitor ML/CV solution that are integral to Turion's Space Domain Awareness data products. You will work on integrating those solutions into Turion's infrastructure pipeline with a small ML team that operates at the junction of R&D and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the research, design, implementation, and testing of CV and/or AI/ML software
Analyze large datasets used for AI/ML model development
Identify opportunities to improve AI/ML model performance and efficiency
Assist in the deployment of AI/ML models onto AWS
Contribute to the deployment of MLOps processes and techniques
Assist in the development of automated methods for responsible AI monitoring and best practices

Minimum Qualifications

Strong experience in Python
Hands-on experience in prototyping and maturing ML algorithms
Comfort working in a fast-paced, self-driven entrepreneurial workplace
Enrolled in a Computer Science degree or a related field.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience working with AWS
Experience working with Docker
Experience designing and building microservices
Experience with Jira or other defect-tracking software
Experience building complex systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
