Job description
Turion's mission is to build a sustainable future in space. Turion launched its first DROID satellite in June of 2023 and will launch its next in October of 2024. As a Machine Learning Integration Engineer, you will help rapidly prototype, mature, and monitor ML/CV solution that are integral to Turion's Space Domain Awareness data products. You will work on integrating those solutions into Turion's infrastructure pipeline with a small ML team that operates at the junction of R&D and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the research, design, implementation, and testing of CV and/or AI/ML software
- Analyze large datasets used for AI/ML model development
- Identify opportunities to improve AI/ML model performance and efficiency
- Assist in the deployment of AI/ML models onto AWS
- Contribute to the deployment of MLOps processes and techniques
- Assist in the development of automated methods for responsible AI monitoring and best practices
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong experience in Python
- Hands-on experience in prototyping and maturing ML algorithms
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, self-driven entrepreneurial workplace
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience working with Docker
- Experience designing and building microservices
- Experience with Jira or other defect-tracking software
- Experience building complex systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
